Whether you’re the rugged countryside type or you enjoy a gentle stroll through shops, the Napa Valley is the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors. Here are some ways to experience the active side to Napa Valley:

Cycle through the valley by renting a bike or join a bike tour with Napa Valley Bike Tours or Getaway Adventures.

Hike through our beautiful parks and trails that feature miles of trails along riverbeds, through redwoods and high into the mountains for a view of the valley you can’t get anywhere else. Try a guided hike (followed by wine tasting and food!) with Active Wine Adventures.

Kayak or Stand Up Paddleboard on the Napa River in downtown Napa with Kayak NV, Enjoy Napa Valley and Napa Valley Paddle.

Tee up at one of our amazing golf courses like at the beautiful Chardonnay Golf Club or Silverado Resort & Spa.

Ride high in a balloon overlooking the valley. See the valley from this unique perspective by riding with Balloons Above the Valley or Napa Valley Aloft.

Jet ski at Lake Berryessa or go boating, water skiing, wake-boarding, tubing, plus there are quiet coves for kayaking, swimming and fishing.

Walk the “main streets” of Napa Valley. Check out the art galleries and shops and enjoy an al fresco meal. Cruise on and around the areas of Lincoln Avenue in Calistoga, Main Street in St. Helena, Washington Street in Yountville and Main Street and Napa Riverfront in downtown Napa.

Taste your way through Napa Valley’s farmers’ markets. Munch on local bites while browsing local artisanal goods.
