Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa

This resort features a hip, vintage vibe. Its outdoor pool area includes a deck of blue-and-white striped umbrellas, pool lounges, and cabana beds shaded by a greenery-covered trellis. Three mineral pools, kept at three different temperatures, are fed from geothermal hot springs. There’s also an outdoor fire pit, bocce court, board games, and hammocks to keep you as busy or relaxed as you like.

Four geothermal mineral pools highlight this resort’s outdoor soaking options, and its pool deck features vine-covered lounge areas, and a sky deck for those who prefer a higher vantage point. The property offers beautiful views of the Calistoga Palisades, too.

Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs

One of the oldest hot spring resorts in Calistoga underwent a full makeover during the Covid pandemic and is back and better than ever before. The resort has two pools—one for all guests and another for adults only. There’s also a new restaurant – the House Of Better – which serves local beer and wine.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley

(Pictured above.) Calistoga’s newest resort is laid out around an expansive, two-tier pool deck that delivers a sweeping view of vineyards to the east and south. There are three pools in all, including one just for families and a hot tub big enough for an entire winemaking team. Campo, a poolside Cal-Mexican restaurant, is open for lunch, and offers daily food and drink specials based on what’s fresh and tasty that week.

Indian Springs Resort & Spa

One of Calistoga’s fan favorites, Indian Springs has two pools: One open to guests of all ages, and another for adults only. The main pool is one of the largest mineral pools in the whole valley—guests can leverage floats or noodles to laze away an afternoon floating around in 110-degree water. Full food and beverage service is available at both pools; a more formal dining experience is available at Sam’s Social Club just down the hill.

Solage

This beloved resort in Calistoga recently completed a major renovation, adding private cabanas to their already enviable 130-foot Landmark Pool. In early 2022 the resort also opened Pico Bar, a casual and open-air restaurant that serves up poolside cocktails and elevated Mexican cuisine. Of course, the spa pools are as indulgent as ever; access is granted with any treatment.

St. Helena

The pool at this modern St. Helena resort is small but swanky, and overlooks a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard owned by Beringer Vineyards next door. Small clusters of couches and chaise lounges add to an air of exclusivity.

Auberge du Soleil

This resort’s “La Plage” pool is a perfect locale for soaking up some sun with expansive views of the valley floor to the south. Find one of the gauzy canopied lounges and order a cool signature cocktail, glass of wine, or local beer. Shaded terraces offer a respite from the sun and a great spot to enjoy delicious poolside dining.

Harvest Inn

Just south of downtown St. Helena, this resort has two secluded pool areas, each with a swimming pool, hot tub, and comfy lounge chairs. The spacious main pool area is open to all guests, and sits in the center of the property’s lush surrounding gardens. The second, more intimate pool is reserved exclusively for adults.

The 75-foot-long rooftop pool is available to all hotel guests and features poolside cabanas, chaise lounges, and food and drink services. During the summer months, there also are yoga sessions on the pool deck.

Take a dive into this resort’s large pool in the heart of a central, lushly landscaped courtyard. Market umbrellas and sun loungers invite guests to linger all afternoon. The hotel offers seasonal poolside service and features cozy courtyard fire pits for those cool Wine Country evenings.

This downtown gem offers a 11,000-square-foot destination rooftop pool that has six inches of water – perfect for cooling off and still putting yourself in position to sample cocktails and wine. Five private deck-side cabanas can be reserved by the day and feature stone fireplaces and privacy curtains. The cabanas, overlooking First Street, offer menus from Chef Charlie Palmer’s Sky & Vine on the other side of the roof.

Carneros Resort and Spa

Guests of this resort can relax at one of two pools. The adults-only Hilltop Pool boasts an infinity-edge hot tub and cozy cabanas; on a clear day you can see for miles without getting up from your chaise lounge. Otto’s Pool, which has both family and fitness areas, offers a livelier vibe.
