Rising castle-like on the western hills, The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone is one of the Napa Valley’s most historic and majestic properties. It’s also one of the world’s most unique and inspiring locations for culinary education. Built in the late 19th century and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our impressive Greystone facility in St. Helena was once home to the Christian Brothers Winery.

We are fully stocked with over 1,700 book titles (many autographed by the author!), cookware, bakeware, local artisan products, hard-to-find spices, and more! We have two restaurants: The Bakery Café, our casual café, and Gatehouse Restaurant, our student-run restaurant. Both restaurants utilize ingredients from the CIA’s farms and gardens, and the styles of the restaurants vary from café fare to contemporary cuisine.
