Napa Valley is world-renowned not just for wine, but also for its restorative wellness and spa offerings. Since we could all use a little extra self-care right now more than ever, we’ve asked some of our favorite wellness experts for easy ways to pamper yourself at home, Napa Valley-style.

Meadowood’s Avocado Mask
Michael Conte, Director of Spa & Wellness at Meadowood Napa Valley, has whipped up a recipe for an easy at-home face mask using just avocado, plain yogurt and honey. This mask is great for hydration and a youthful healthy glow. Avocado is packed with omega 2 fatty acid, honey is antioxidant and antimicrobial, and the lactic acid in yogurt will gently slough dead skin cells. Simply cut an avocado and scoop about a quarter of it into a bowl and mash (save the rest for a healthy avo toast!), then add a dollop of plain yogurt and a dime size amount of honey and mix together (lumps are ok). Apply the mask to clean skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse well, and moisturize.

Roman Spa Hot Springs DIY Facials
Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort in Calistoga, known for its wellness and spa offerings, has two facial recipes for easy at-home wellness:

Lemon Facial
Lemons contain AHAs and BHAs, two types of hydroxy acid that remove dead skin cells and help clear up blackheads, acne, and discoloration. Create a homemade face mask by mixing the juice from one lemon with 1/4 cup olive oil or sweet almond oil. Or mix the juice of 1/2 lemon with a tablespoon of honey. Apply to your face, wait 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

Oatmeal Facial
Combine 1/2 cup hot—not boiling—water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and one small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. (Be sure to place a metal or plastic strainer in your sink to avoid clogging the drain with the granules.) Oatmeal is considered to hold natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that treat dry skin and acne. Oats also contain compounds known as saponins, which are natural cleansers. These natural elements remove oil and dirt properties while exfoliating.

Carneros Resort and Spa’s Valley Glow Bath Soak
