Mother’s Day is an opportunity to give moms a shout-out, whether it’s brunch, a gift, or flowers. In Napa Valley, it’s always a great time to treat Mom to a meal or outing to recognize the love and kindness she has exhibited over the years. And if you are a mother, it’s a good opportunity to take the afternoon to decompress with your family and the ones you love most.
While there are dozens of options for celebrating Mother’s Day in Napa Valley, here are some of the ones that have grabbed our attention.
Wineries

Food add-ons are available as well, including an indulgent chocolate truffle pairing by in-house chocolatier Kat Zide.

Other Celebrations
-
Napa Valley Museum Yountville
Visitors are raving about this Yountville museum’s wacky and wonderful exhibit, “Dangerous Games: Treacherous Toys We Loved as Kids,” which includes old favorites like Jarts and retro science kits that came with real uranium. Admission for Mom is free on Mother’s Day (with one paid adult or two paid kids’ full-priced admissions), and Mom will also receive a free retro candy gift—sharing (for them) is optional.
-
Ackerman Heritage House
Authentic English tea service at the circa-1889 Ackerman Heritage House in downtown Napa is always a good idea. Mother’s Day tea service includes delectable tea sandwiches, dainty tarts, seasonal house-made jams (and lemon curd!) and savory bites paired with organic teas. Wines from Ackerman Family Vineyards are available by the glass and bottle for an additional charge.
-
Jessel Gallery
This Napa art gallery is the oldest and largest gallery in Napa Valley—showcasing work from a mix of established artists and newcomers to the local scene. On Mother’s Day, the entire gallery will display flora and fauna images; a discount of 20 percent on clothing will support a fundraiser for relief efforts in Ukraine. After perusing the art, take Mom to a wine tasting at Bougetz Cellars next door.
