Kenzo Tsujimoto will open his authentic Japanese sushi restaurant in downtown Napa on November 16, 2016. Freemark Abbey, which has been in its original location since 1886, completed an extensive renovation on July 9, 2016. The reimagined historic winery building now offers a variety of educational visitor experiences, all encompassed in a two-story layout with a striking interior design, as well as a revamped patio courtyard. The refreshed estate also includes the brand-new restaurant, Two Birds One Stone, a California-inspired yakitori restaurant by chefs Douglas Keane and Sang Yoon.

Liana Estates, from the family behind Peju Province Winery opened on October 1, 2016 in the Carneros region in southern Napa. Blue Note Napa will open on October 25, 2016, offering live music seven days a week in downtown Napa. Archer Hotel Napa, a new-build hotel in the heart of downtown Napa, is set to open in spring 2017.
