February 17, 2015, Napa, CA – The Napa Valley showcases its wealth of art and artists from American Canyon to Calistoga for the fifth annual Napa Valley Arts in April, featuring works that span artistic disciplines, genres and decades. Dozens of special shows, openings and exhibits throughout the entire month of April 2015 provide an artistic feast.
April 2, 2015 marks the “Kick off ‘Arts in April’” reception at the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville, with the opening of Napa Valley Collects, the Museum’s annual exhibition featuring significant works from private art collections throughout the Napa Valley. The reception is 5 – 6 p.m. for Museum members and 6 – 8 p.m. for guests. The cost is $10 for Museum members and $20 for guests. A selection of works from private collections, including pieces from world-renowned artists such as Rembrandt to Warhol to Andy Goldsworthy will be on display April 3 - May 31, 2015. Renowned Artist Gordon Huether presents a behind-the-scenes tour of his 15,000 sq. ft. studio on April 4 from 1- 3 p.m., which includes an exclusive hands-on art creation experience led by the artist himself. The event will feature wine from St. Supéry Winery artfully paired with a selection of artisan cheeses. The cost is $50 and is limited to 35 guests. Enjoy a preview of Festival del Sole’s landmark tenth season, coming in July 2015. Wine & Art Exploration is a unique and inspiring tour of the winery property, home to the HALL’s renowned contemporary art collection.
