Napa Valley Hotel Renovations:


Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa opened their new market, Silverado Market and Bakery, in February 2016. The new market offers baked goods from Yountville’s renowned Bouchon Bakery and English muffins from Model Bakery in Napa. Locally crafted wine and beer, cheeses and charcuterie, Three Twins Ice Cream and a host of other locally produced goods are also available.

The Carneros Inn in Napa has completed various renovations to their family pool, the Wedding Garden and the guest entry. These enhancements include an elevated deck with a shade trellis and new padded lounges throughout the Family Pool area. The Wedding Garden, the property’s main wedding site, has undergone a $1 million renovation that includes a beautifully planted trellis, a stunning water feature and new lush floral bushes to define the space. The Carneros Inn also features a new guest reception building and property entrance. Additionally, 40 cottages will receive enhancements that include a new color palette, bathroom renovation with new heated tile flooring, counter-tops, bathroom fixtures, and soaking tubs.  The first phase was completed in April 2016, with the remaining cottages completed in 2017. The Hilltop Pool will feature an expanded deck for additional lounge furniture, along with eight private cabanas with vineyard views.

Meadowood Napa Valley in St. Helena opened their new 14,000-square-foot, all suite spa in November 2015. The new spa, designed by renowned architect Howard Backen and his team at Backen, Gillam & Kroeger, features eight treatment suites, each offering forest views and a private environment for relaxation. Each spa suite also features a private bathroom, steam shower and daybed. Meadowood’s Director of Spa & Wellness Michael Conte leads the team in giving guests a true sense of retreat and privacy with a Spa menu designed to elevate the entire spa experience and highlight the spa suites.

Spa Solage in Calistoga reopened in early May 2015 upon the completion of a $1.2 million renovation, including their six-time Michelin star-rated Solbar restaurant. The expansion added more than 3,000 square feet to the reception building and a co-ed relaxation room. Other enhancements include two new outdoor showers and 56 additional lockers in both the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, along with refurbishments to the boutique areas. The vision for both interior spaces was designed by Shirley Robinson, principal of Robinson Finishes, a San Francisco-based interior design company. Indian Springs Resort and Spa’s expansion in Calistoga is now complete, with the addition of 75 new Mission Revival bungalows and lodge rooms, new indoor event/meeting spaces and a myriad of outdoor event gardens, including areas for small weddings.  New event areas include the Event Barn, featuring natural light and a private patio, as well as the Fountain Garden and Moroccan Garden, with beautiful water features. The Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa in Napa has completed its multi-million dollar, property-wide 2016 refinement, which includes enhancements to each of the 270 guestrooms and five suites, a new resort-style swimming pool and recreation area, and new outdoor event spaces ideal for weddings and group receptions.

Calistoga Ranch debuted its “re-imagined” adult pool area in May 2016.  Acclaimed California landscape architecture firm Girvin Associates has integrated the adult pool, bordering cabernet vineyard and the tented Vineyard Venue into a serene outdoor setting that may be used for gatherings, events, celebrations and weddings. Other enhancements include a stone fireplace, trellises, stone borders and new plantings that create a rustic setting with flowering trees, shrubs, olive trees and lush lawns.

 New and Upcoming Napa Valley Hotel Properties:


Hampton Inn & Suites opened a Napa location on March 9, 2016. The 115-room hotel features high ceilings with a rustic modern look, and includes complimentary hot breakfast, a business center, a fitness center with state of the art Precore equipment, and 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The hotel also features upgraded room types with balcony suites overlooking the Napa River. All guests have access to a heated pool and Jacuzzi along with a patio area with outdoor fireplace and fire pits

Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, will open in St. Helena in the summer of 2016 as a sister property to Las Alcobas in Mexico City. Las Alcobas, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, will feature 68 guest rooms and suites with terraces and outdoor fireplaces, a signature restaurant, a 3,500 square foot spa, an outdoor swimming pool, meeting facilities and all of the brand’s signature amenities and services.

Auberge Resorts Collection will break ground in 2016 on VieVage Napa Valley, a new destination resort in the Carneros district, which is slated to open in 2018 as the second resort from Auberge’s new VieVage Hotels and Resorts lifestyle brand. The resort will be set on 95 acres of the 712-acre Stanly Ranch and will feature a casual restaurant and bar, bakery, winery and outdoor gathering spaces with fire pits, barbeques, bocce court, and outdoor concerts. The 120 stand-alone cottages will accommodate families and groups, and be set amid private communal vineyards, gardens, and bicycle and walking paths.

Napa Vineyard House in Napa is a fully restored and modernized 1901 Farmhouse and the Napa Valley’s newest Boutique Inn. There are five spacious guest rooms that are each equipped with Restoration Hardware furniture and linens, L’Occitane bath products, and vineyard views. For a more private experience, the Cottage features two bedrooms each with a king sized bed, private patio, gas fireplace and soaking tub. Prices range from $275-$500 per night.
