Wine lovers have long made a pilgrimage to Grgich Hills Estate since Vintners Hall of Fame Inductee Miljenko “Mike” Grgich’s Chardonnay beat the best of France at the famed 1976 Paris Tasting and he then joined with Austin Hills to open our family owned and operated winery.
Today, we farm 366 acres naturally and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines. Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, this iconic winery is open daily 9:30am to 4:30pm to taste our current releases and you might even meet the charming Mike Grgich.
We offer barrel tasting on most Fridays, except during harvest, from 2pm to 4pm. You can get a real feel for winemaking by stomping grapes, which is offered daily during harvest only. Learn about our sustainable winegrowing with a variety of tours and tastings—advance reservations required. We can also customize an unforgettable experience with everything from a private tasting for your group to gourmet luncheons and dinners overlooking our vines.
