Howard Norman will give a lecture on the craft of fiction titled "Influence" as part of the Napa Valley Writers' Conference.

Howard Norman‘s new novel, In The Hours Still Left to Us, will be published early in 2019, followed by a memoir, Forms of Prayer in Vermont. He has received the Lannan Award in Literature, a Guggenheim fellowship, the Whiting Writers Award, three fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, The New England Book Award, and the Harold Morton Landon Prize in Translation from the Academy of American Poets. His novels include The Bird Artist, What Is Left the Daughter, Next Life Might Be Kinder, and My Darling Detective.
