Eagle Cycling Club's Annual Tour of Napa Valley

Napa County Fairgrounds

  • 1435 N Oak Street
  • Calistoga, CA
August 18, 2019
Hosted by: Eagle Cycling Club
Time: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The 43rd edition, 2019 Tour of Napa Valley is a Renaissance of sorts, with all of the rides starting and ending in our new venue at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga, at the North end of the valley. Calistoga is a small town renowned for its hot springs, mud baths, world-class restaurants and Napa Valley wines. As our riders go south on the scenic Silverado Trail and into the Vaca range to the east of the valley, they will visit as many as seven famous wine appellations and enjoy views not only of vineyards, but hillsides of oaks, bays, eucalyptus, as well as redwood forests.

This year we are offering 5 distances – a flat 35 miles all within the Napa Valley, a “hilly” 50 miles with moderate climbs, a 62.5 mile metric century, an 80 miler that includes all of the climbing but less flat riding and our iconic Century.

We have Rest Stops every 25 miles stocked with tasty treats, including our home-made cookies! The three longer routes include a lunch stop hosted in Pope Valley. A delicious post-ride dinner is awaiting riders upon their return to Calistoga.

The Tour of Napa Valley is produced entirely by volunteers of the Eagle Cycling Club, a 501(c)4, tax-exempt organization and its partners. Most of the entry fees go toward staging the event – food and supplies, use fees, equipment rentals, insurance, medical services, public safety, etc. From the rest, the Eagle Cycling Club supports bicycle advocacy in the North Bay region and local youth cycling clubs.
