Family-friendly, fun, and trustworthy, 50 Hikes with Kids: California is handcrafted for parents and caregivers who want to spark a love of nature in childhood and beyond. The guide highlights the most kid-friendly hikes in California and each entry includes the essential details: easy-to-read directions, a detailed map,
trail-side activities, bathroom access, and where to grab a bite to eat nearby. Not just another guide book, 50 Hikes with Kids will help nurture a life-long appreciation and reverence for the natural world.

Tech on the Trail - come join author Wendy Gorton to learn how tech can enhance your family’s experience outdoors. From using Google Maps and Streetview for planning, iNaturalist and other plant ID apps to help nurture your budding scientist, creative digital photography tips, treasure hunting with Geocaching, and using AllTrails and trip reports to build writing and rating skills into the adventure, it can be great to turn off tech on the trail but just as fun to turn it on! Bring your phone and the whole family!
