Where to Eat:

The Corner Napa restaurant and bar opened in downtown Napa on July 22, 2016. The restaurant features a large, well appointed wine list, craft cocktails, and more than 200 whiskeys. The new American cuisine is technique driven and features local producers.the-corner-napa

The Kitchen Collective is an exclusive cooking club that is scheduled to open November 1, 2016 in downtown Napa. It will provide resources for members to cook meals in a shared kitchen and the intimate environment of a social club to bring people together and share their passion for good food and wine.

Kenzo Tsujimoto will open his authentic Japanese sushi restaurant in downtown Napa on November 16, 2016. The restaurant will feature a fixed menu for Kaiseki and sushi featuring fresh fish delivered from world-renowned Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, paired with wines from Kenzo Estate along with an array of Japanese sakes.

Where to Sip & Swirl:

Covert Estate opened in the Coombsville area of Napa in spring 2016. Covert produces deeply aromatic, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from distinctive microsites on its 12-acre estate.covert-estate-winery-cave

Freemark Abbey, which has been in its original location since 1886, completed an extensive renovation on July 9, 2016. The reimagined historic winery building now offers a variety of educational visitor experiences, all encompassed in a two-story layout with a striking interior design, as well as a revamped patio courtyard. The refreshed estate also includes the brand-new restaurant, Two Birds One Stone, a California-inspired yakitori restaurant by chefs Douglas Keane and Sang Yoon.

RiverHouse by Bespoke Collection opened on September 16, 2016 in downtown Napa. Visitors can enjoy Blackbird Vineyards and Resolute wine tastings, while being surrounded by a curated selection of fine art, antiquities, and objet by ÆRENA Galleries & Gardens.riverhouse-by-bespoke-collection

Stewart Cellars’ new tasting salon and café opened in Yountville on August 29, 2016. Arcanum Architecture designed the space and Ken Fulk designed the interior. Gather Café is a fast, casual eatery that features culinary offerings including a fresh juice of the day, greens, grains and breakfast.

Liana Estates, from the family behind Peju Province Winery opened on October 1, 2016 in the Carneros region in southern Napa. The winery offers immersive experiences and culinary programming such as “Brunch and Yoga” overlooking the San Pablo Bay; “Bake and Bubbles” oyster bake series where guests learn how to shuck oysters; Full Moon Harvest dinners in the vineyard; and mozzarella-making classes with Liana’s executive chef, and more.

Fieldwork Brewing Company will open a taproom in Napa’s Oxbow Public Market’s main market hall in mid-October 2016. Visitors can expect an ever-changing tap list of fresh releases to enjoy by sampler flight, beer by the glass, and fresh beer filled “to go” in growlers and Crowler cans.

New Things to See and Do:

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia is opening this fall in downtown Napa. Visitors will soon be able to enjoy wine tasting experiences, culinary demonstrations and classes, world-class dining, shopping, community events, and more.

Blue Note Napa will open on October 25, 2016, offering live music seven days a week in downtown Napa. Occupying the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House, the jazz club will present national and international artists, along with Bay Area and regional favorites, paired with the region’s finest wines, craft brews, cuisine, and classic cocktails. Blue Note Napa will also present musical headliners of all genres in the Opera House’s second-floor ballroom.

Where to Stay:

Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer in St. Helena launched their revamped Vineyard View Collection rooms on September 15, 2016. The new tier of 22 recently renovated guestrooms and suites offer western-facing views of vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains. harveset-inn-by-charlie-palmer

Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa is constructing their Mansion Gardens. Expected to open in early 2017, the 30,000 square feet of outdoor space with vineyards, stage and a 5,000 square foot pavilion, located adjacent to the resort’s Conference Center, will be ideal for weddings, cocktail receptions and indoor and outdoor dinners.
