Napa Valley isn’t just about overindulging on food and wine, we also offer a variety of wellness and fitness opportunities for those of you looking to get centered, recharge, and sweat. You’re going to need to stay a few days to detox, retox, and detox all over again in the beautiful Napa Valley. From getting your downward dog on in a vineyard to boot camps and juicing, here are the best places to get fit for summer in the Napa Valley:

Meadowood Napa Valley offers a nine-hole walking golf course; croquet lawns; seven tennis courts; two swimming pools; 4.5 miles (in total) of hiking trails throughout the property; as well as fitness and yoga classes for overnight guests and members. The resort offers two overnight packages for the fitness-enthusiast guests: “Healthiest Year Yet!” (includes a 90-min Eco Fitness Class and personalized assessment) and Function Fitness (includes 30-min total body workout with one of Meadowood’s trainers).

The Grill at Meadowood has incorporated a Wellness Beverage Menu into its offerings, which include a selection of seasonal cold-pressed juices using the freshest produce in the Meadowood Garden; as well as nut milks and elixirs.

Auberge du Soleil offers complimentary yoga instruction for guests of the hotel. The fitness classes are offered in a secluded section of the resort amid olive groves and vines. Classes are offered on weekend mornings and space is limited. Private classes are also available for a fee.

The Meritage Resort and Spa provides its guests with a variety of wellness experiences, including a 1,650 square foot fitness studio that opens up onto a covered terrace with views of their hillside vineyards and hiking trails through nine acres of hillside vineyards. Seasonally their fitness studio offers yoga and Pilates classes on weekends.

Solage Calistoga has an extensive array of complimentary daily fitness classes for guests staying at the resort. Classes range from yoga and meditation to TRX, spinning and boot camp. Private fitness assessment and instruction and individual and group fitness programs are available upon request.

The Carneros Inn provides complimentary yoga classes for hotel guests at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. They also have a Wellness in Winecountry amenity, which includes a “vinotherapy” spa treatment, daily spa-inspired breakfast, mini-spa products, a robe, fresh fruit and juices stocked in the fridge and homemade granola. Andaz Napa features a Boot Camp Brunch, a fitness class provided by their fitness guru (and NBA dancer) Amira Mourad, followed by a nutritious brunch. Free for guests and locals and is provided once a month on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.

Clos Pegase Winery is launching their Yoga in the Vineyards program that will run through the month of May on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. It starts with a fresh green juice and breakfast bars upon arrival followed by a yoga session. The experience ends with a taste of their 2012 Sauvignon Blanc served with cheese and fresh fruit. 90 minutes, $25 per person or $15 for club members.

Domaine Carneros offers their “Recharge Station” which begins with Vinyasa in the Vineyard, an hour-long, instructor-led yoga class with breathtaking views from the chateau’s terrace. Set amidst the estate’s organic vineyards, sun salutations seamlessly transition to cool-down and a guided tasting at the “juice bar,” offering three barrel samples of future release wines. The experience is by appointment only for up to 10 guests for $1,500. Price includes yoga class, the “juice bar” and a sparkling wine lunch. All yoga classes will be led by certified instructors.
