Napa Valley’s natural beauty coupled with grand wineries, immaculate accommodations, chic restaurants, and breathtaking hiking trails make the ultimate location for snapping epic selfies and gorgeous Instagrammable photos. Here are just some of the most iconic places to photograph.

"Welcome to Napa Valley" Signs

Perhaps the most iconic of all Napa Valley sights is the "Welcome to Napa Valley" sign... but did you know there are two signs? These identical signs are both located on Highway 29 – the south sign is located just south of Oakville near Far Niente Winery, and the north sign is located just south of Calistoga near Castello di Amorosa.

The Grape Crusher Statue

If you are traveling north on Highway 29 into the south end of Napa Valley, you'll spot one of the most iconic signs that let you know you’ve reached wine country. You can find the 15 foot tall bronze Grape Crusher in south Napa on Vista Point Drive. From this viewpoint, you can also see the American Canyon wetlands, San Francisco Bay, and plenty of rolling vineyard hills. Discover Grape Crusher fun facts.

Bunny Foo Foo

The 35 foot tall art sculpture, Bunny Foo Foo, located at HALL Wines in St. Helena is quite the showstopper. If you happen to drive past during specific times of year, you might see Bunny Foo Foo dressed up for a special occasion (Easter, Halloween, 4th of July, May the 4th, and more).

Hot Air Ballooning

Whether you’re in the basket high up above or on the ground looking to the sky, hot air balloons soaring through Napa Valley is a site not to be missed. You'll have to get up early in the morning to catch the balloons, as they typically take flight around sunrise. If you're viewing from the ground, you might want to head to Alston Park in Napa – while every flight varies the route based on the wind currents, Alston Park is a favorite landing spot.

I (Heart) Calistoga

Located in downtown Calistoga on the fence next to CAMi Vineyards tasting room, this public art project reflects the spirit of Calistoga and has become a community and visitor favorite. The sign was painted by Laurie Shelton, artist and owner of CAMi Vineyards, alongside her daughter Camille.

Oxbow Public Market

Local food mecca, Oxbow Public Market, located in Downtown Napa, is the perfect place to stop for a bite or two. With several food and wine/coffee/cocktail vendors, local produce, a bookstore, and a riverside deck, locals and visitors gather here for great food and drinks, and some shopping too.

The CIA at Copia Gardens

The CIA at Copia, located right next to Oxbow Public Market in Downtown Napa, offers food and wine experiences for everyone – from restaurants and a cocktail lounge to hands-on cooking classes, shopping and a culinary arts museum to a 3D dining experience. And the large culinary garden planted in front of the building, which features seasonal and local crops, is the perfect oasis for a stroll and plenty of photo opportunities.

Downtown Napa Riverfront

Take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Napa Riverfront and enjoy the vibrant scene of Downtown Napa, with several world-class restaurants and wine tasting rooms, charming boutiques, and cultural events within walking distance. Adventure seekers can get a view the riverfront from the Napa River – try a gondola, kayak, or paddleboard tour.

Rail Arts District (RAD)

The Rail Arts District (RAD) in Downtown Napa is a vibrant cultural enclave where art meets the tracks, and is home to an array of outdoor murals, sculptures, and art installations. Take a walk or a bike ride along the path and discover captivating works of art that reflect the creative spirit of Napa Valley.

Infinity Hill

The Infinity Sculpture, created by local artist Gordon Huether, sits atop the highest point of the Stanly Ranch Resort property. Take a walk up to and around the massive sculpture and watch the never-ending infinity design change shape above you.

Vineyards

A visit to Napa Valley isn't complete without a few photos of the beautiful vineyards – there's too many locations to name! Go on a scenic road trip adventure through Napa Valley and explore the valley for yourself. Or better yet, make winery reservations and get up-close photos while enjoying a glass of wine.

You'll see endless vineyards along Highway 29 and Silverado Trail, but remember these are busy roads with very few safe locations to pull over for photos. Try driving the numerous connecting roads between the two highways, or the backroads away from the highways. And always be sure to look for private property signs letting you know it's not lawful to enter or snap photos.
