Ask any local, winter is a special time in the Napa Valley. After the frenzy of the holidays, the crowds have diminished, the weather has cooled, and you can actually get reservations at your favorite dining spots. To celebrate this more relaxed pace, venues across the valley are participating in Napa Valley Restaurant Week from January 21 to 28, 2018.

With multi-course, prix-fixe menus for lunch ($20) and dinner ($36 or $46), visitors can dine at Michelin Star-rated icons, explore new culinary venues, or just return to old stand-bys. Here’s a list of participating restaurants. (Many will also offer wine pairings for a supplemental charge. In addition to the prix-fixe specials, they also offer their regular menus.)

Acacia House at Las Alcobas (St. Helena) – The two-course lunch includes Lobster bisque, and oxtail toast with house-made ricotta; the three-course dinner includes a salt cod brandade with multi grain toast, Hokkaido scallop mushroom risotto with crispy enoki mushroom and tres leches cake with cinnamon ice cream.

Siena Restaurant at Meritage Resort (Napa) – The three-course dinner features choices from daily soup, sweet gem Caesar salad, crispy Brussels sprouts, grilled asparagus with burrata, market fish, short ribs with smashed potatoes, organic chicken with pancetta and fig, roasted cauliflower, and apricot honeycomb panna cotta or warm chocolate tarte.

ALBA at the River Terrace Inn (Napa) – Three-course dinner starts with a choice of porcini mushroom bisque or salad of field greens and beets, then an entrée of a grilled pork chop with kabocha squash and sautéed kale, grilled vegetable caponata with haricot verts and marinated feta or cedar-plank salmon with marble potatoes and mushroom ragout. For dessert, there’s a key lime pie with graham cracker and macadamia nut crust.

Boon Fly Café (Napa) – Three-course dinner will include a warm spinach salad with local goat cheese, Granny Smith apples, pecans, and mustard pancetta vinaigrette; a choice of fried chicken or braised beef short rib with sweet potato fries, garden carrots and cipollini onion; and, for dessert, Boon Fly donuts with chocolate sauce.

The Grill at Silverado Resort (Napa) – Three-course dinner will feature warm Medjool dates stuffed with goat cheese, pistachios, pomegranates seeds and blood orange vinaigrette; cured duck leg confit with Brussels sprouts and Dijon mustard sauce; and wild huckleberry upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream.

Other participating restaurants include the Restaurant at Auberge, Solbar at Solage, VINEleven at the Napa Valley Marriott, the Restaurant at CIA Copia, Evangaline, Brasswood Bar and Kitchen, Tarla Mediterranean Grill, Grill 29 at Embassy Suites, TORC Napa, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, Charlie Palmer Steak House, and Sam’s Social Club.
