Renovation and Reimagination


In the heart of Napa Valley, Silverado Resort recently unveiled a $1.5 million renovation of its meeting and event space, featuring a distinctive design inspired by the Napa Valley landscape. The reimagined Silverado Ballroom now sets the stage for large-scale events.

Meanwhile, The Meritage Resort and Spa is currently undergoing a full remodel of its 322 guestrooms, with an estimated completion date in April. The resort's commitment to excellence extends beyond accommodations, showcasing recent upgrades to the Meritage and Carneros ballrooms, along with a refreshed lobby. Additionally, the resort will unveil four reimagined culinary and entertainment experiences, including Blend Café, Crush Lounge, Ember (a new steakhouse), and Sora Napa (a Champagne bar).

 

Napa Valley Cocktail Scene


While Napa Valley is certainly known for world-class wines, the cocktail scene is really emerging in Napa Valley. Here are some new and notable spots for artfully crafted libations.

ArBARetum – This art-deco cocktail lounge opened by Napa Valley Distillery is known for its photogenic gin-centric cocktails and unique setting.

Chispa – A tequila-focused cocktail spot in downtown Napa, features a bar program dedicated to highlighting traditional Mexican flavors, offering an extensive selection of approximately 80 tequilas and 40 mezcals that go beyond the mainstream.

The Fink – Nestled in the historic Napa Mill, The Fink serves delicious cocktails (and alcohol-free concoctions!) from around the world while patrons soak up the boathouse atmosphere and enjoy live music.

Goose & Gander – This underground (literal) bar is noteworthy for its speakeasy vibe and spiral-bound menu book, brimming with specialty cocktails crafted with every category of spirit.

The Haven – Overlooking the garden at The CIA at Copia, the unassuming balcony feels like a secret getaway in the Oxbow District. The Haven honors the origins of classic cocktails with an emphasis on technique, presentation, flavor, and high-quality ingredients.

The Lincoln – Adjacent to Ace & Vine, Napa’s only gaming and card room, The Lincoln offers a full range of inspired cocktails and fresh twists on classic fare, with views of the Napa River. It has extended hours for true night owls, offering full bar service until 2:00 a.m.

Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar at Archer Hotel – What’s better than a cocktail with a view? Catch some of the best sunsets in downtown Napa while sipping cocktails at this hip rooftop bar overlooking the city.

Wilfred’s Lounge – Featuring tropical vacation-inspired cocktails, this tiki bar showcases hand-carved wooden totem poles throughout, setting the scene for sipping authentic island-inspired cocktails. Sip a signature Mai Tai and take in the tropical vibes.

Azur Wines – Amid the bustling heartbeat of Downtown Napa, Azur Wine Lounge serves as an intimate sanctuary that fuses Napa Valley's local charm with a splash of urban flair! Here, guests will find fun wine and food pairings like popcorn and Rosé, plus a hidden “speakeasy-styled” tasting room removed from the main area.

Charlie's – Opened by former French Laundry executive sous-chef Elliot Bell, this St. Helena restaurant is dedicated to highlighting the bounty of Napa Valley ingredients crafted with globally inspired flavors.

The Slanted Door – Adding to the culinary tapestry of Napa Valley, The Slanted Door brings elevated Vietnamese cuisine and craft cocktails to its newest and much-anticipated location in Napa.

Folklore – Find the intersection of music, libations, and food at Folklore, one half pure record store, one half lounge. This innovative concept melds together a unique mix of casual fare, great drinks, and chill vibe where patrons also enjoy exploring and spinning the collection of music on vinyl.

Maison Fayard – This is the outpost for wine enthusiasts looking to indulge in a world of sophistication and artistry. Comprised of equal parts bottle shop, glassware boutique, local artists’ showroom, and tasting lounge, Maison Fayard offers opportunities for a full exploration and appreciation of wine.

Orin Swift Cellars – Reimagined in an edgy new downtown tasting room, OSC offers unique tasting experiences with names like Rock, Paper, and Scissors. This over-the-top space will appeal to all of your senses, savoring the excellent award-winning wines and taking in the avant-garde ambiance.

Scala Osteria – From Napa to Napoli, the Mediterranean-inspired, Scala, offers a seafood-centric Southern Italian menu in Downtown Napa.

 

Music and Wine, The Perfect Pairing


The music scene in Summertime in Napa Valley is hot, hot, hot! Memorial Day weekend officially kicks off the summer music season in Napa Valley, with Stevie Nicks, Pearl Jam, and Ed Sheeran headlining BottleRock Napa Valley.

Also beginning in May are The Blue Note Summer Sessions, returning for an encore at The Meritage Resort and Spa. Soon, look for information on the Blue Note Jazz Festival, including this year's lineup which is sure to be a perfect blend of jazz, hip-hop, and R&B.
