October 12, 2015, Napa, CA – In celebration of the “Big Game,” some of Napa Valley’s hotels, resorts, wineries and attractions have created “football-themed” *packages to inspire visitors to experience a taste of the Napa Valley before, during, or after the Big Game festivities. Activities celebrating Game Week are less than a two-hour drive from Napa Valley.

The Meritage Resort and Spa offers the #JustStayBaby package, which includes overnight accommodations; a $25 credit in Crush Ultra Lounge and Blend Café; and wine tasting for two at Trinitas Cellars inside the resort’s Estate Cave. The package, which starts at $224 per night, exclusive of tax and resort fee, is valid Jan. 4 – Feb. 12, 2016.
The Senza Hotel offers the “Redzone Experience” package, which includes two nights in a Garden or Vineyard King suite; a bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon; wine tasting for two in St. Helena an evening wine reception; and continental breakfast. The package, which starts at $289 per night, exclusive of tax, is based on a two-night minimum stay and is valid Jan. 10 – Feb. 10, 2016.
The Silverado Resort and Spa offers the “Silverado Touchdown Celebration” package, which includes a 25 percent savings off the resort’s best available rate; a $50 resort credit; and wine tasting passes for two at Vermeil Wines Tasting Lounge in downtown Napa. Vermeil Wines, owned by former pro football head coach Dick Vermeil, are made from grapes grown in the upper valley region of Calistoga, where Vermeil grew up. The package is valid Jan. 28 - Feb. 15, 2016 and requires a two-night minimum stay.
Wineries
Judd’s Hill Winery on the Silverado Trail, offers “Big Game Bottle Blending” to commemorate the Big Game. During Bottle Blending Day CampTM, a blending guide will lead a personal tasting; education; and blending session, where guests choose their preferred Bordeaux-style blend from four Napa Valley appellation barrel samples (two Cabernet Sauvignons from different vineyard sources, one Merlot and one Cabernet Franc). After blending, guests will hand bottle their blend; label; foil; and take home to enjoy or share. Pricing varies based on the number of bottles blended. “Big Game Bottle Blending” is valid Jan. 2 – Feb. 14, 2016 and pricing starts at $225 per person.

The Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards, located in Jamieson Canyon, southeast of the city of Napa, offers the “Pigskin Golf Package,” which includes 18-holes of golf with shared golf cart and range balls for two. The package ranges from $80 - $120 and is valid Jan. 1 – Feb. 28, 2016.

Wineries
Cornerstone Cellars offers the “Blitzing Blending Experience” package where guests will learn to blend their own wine with winemaker Kari Auringer. The package is valid through Feb. 14, 2016. $125.
Rutherford

Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford offers the “GAMETIME” stay, which includes a one-night stay in a Maison king room; GAMETIME welcome party snacks paired with a bottle of former pro football Dick Vermeil’s Proprietary Red; wine tasting for two at Vermeil Wines in Calistoga or Napa; a GAMETIME sampler in the Bistro & Bar including Hong Kong Wings and two glasses of Mad Fritz beer; a $100 resort credit; and a 10 percent discount on any 60 minute service at Auberge Spa, including the GAMETIME sports massage and “head-to-toe” treatment. The package starts at $898 and is valid through Feb. 12, 2016.

Cairdean Estate in St. Helena, offers the “Cairdean Showdown” wine and food experience. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the “Big Game,” enjoy a winery and cave tour, complete with picnic tailgate experience, including lawn games. The “Showdown” is $150 per person and is valid Jan. 10 – Feb. 10, 2016.
Delectus, a small family owned winery in St. Helena, offers the “Santa Clara Showdown,” which includes a complimentary wine tasting for two and 10 percent off of all purchases (3 bottle minimum). The offer is valid Jan. 10 – Feb. 12, 2016.
Calistoga
Mount View Hotel & Spa in downtown Calistoga offers the “The Big Game Relaxation” package, which includes overnight accommodations for two-nights (Sunday through Thursday) and a 50- minute Mount View massage. The package starts at $318 per night, exclusive of tax, and is valid Jan. 28 – Feb. 12, 2016.
Tours
Beau Wine Tours offers the “Touchdown in the Wine Country” package, which includes a 15 percent discount off the hourly base rate for wine tours. Guests may choose from luxury sedans, stretch limousines; SUV’s; shuttle buses; coaches; executive vans; and the new Sprinter limousines. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the tour. The offer is valid through Feb. 12, 2016.
