Founded in 1988, Patz & Hall winery combines the shared vision and collective expertise of four friends - Donald Patz, Anne Moses, Heather Patz and James Hall. By cultivating close personal relationships with a handful of Claifornia's finest growers, this team has turned a desire to craft benchmark, single-vineyard Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs into one of California's most acclaimed artisan wineries. As a result, the Patz & Hall Salon has become a Mecca for lovers of great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Located in the city of Napa, the Salon is an ideal stop during any exploration of wine country. A comfortable and inviting gathering place, the Salon feels like a well-heeled artist's pied-a-terre. Designed around the painting "Channel Island," by renowned abstract expressionist Karl Kasten, the Salon is both warm and modern, stylishly bringing together elements of wood, glass, granite, leather and suede. The Salon is open Wednesday through Sunday and offers two guided tasting options: private, by-appointment seated tastings that include six vineyards-designate wines, each paired with a gourmet food complement ($40, 60-90mins), or more casual drop-in tastings of four wines in the convivial setting of the Salon Bar ($20).
